About Larissa A. Symbouras
Larissa is an attorney with extensive experience in matrimonial law, divorce, domestic relations, custody, spousal and child support, domestic violence, adoptions, prenuptial agreements, juvenile law, criminal law, municipal court, DWI, landlord/tenant, personal injury, employment law, real estate transactions, and appeals.
She is a 1992 graduate of Brandeis University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in Legal Studies, and a 1995 graduate of Brooklyn Law School.
After Larissa completed a clerkship in the Tax Court of New Jersey for the Honorable Roger M. Kahn, J.T.C., J.S.C. during the 1995-1996 court year, she worked in general practice, where she gained experience in many areas, including civil jury trial experience.
With her additional experience as a municipal public defender, Larissa has bench trial experience in matrimonial, domestic violence, criminal, and traffic matters. Sitting as a member of the Early Settlement Panel in Bergen County has given her additional experience in all aspects of matrimonial law.
Larissa co-founded her law school’s Battered Women’s Project and has spent many years volunteering for the Women’s Rights Information Center and for Alternatives to Domestic Violence, offering advice and representation to indigent clients in need of her services.

Larissa is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association and Women Lawyers in Bergen.
Larissa is also a member of the Bergen County Players in Oradell and the Studio Players in Montclair, participating as an actor, director, stage manager, propmaster, sound board operator, makeup artist, and set builder.
